This week was the start of school for us/me, which means back to my normal up-before-the-kids routine. My goal everyday is shower, coffee and quiet time before the maniacs get released from their individual cells. Sometimes, one or more of those things don’t make it onto the completion list (hint: it’s NEVER coffee!).
Anyway, we were pretty basic preschool mom pickup and drop off mode this week. I love this time of year, but it’s oftentimes a little harder to dress. I wake up to fog and clouds and chill in the morning, but by noon it’s sunny and 75.
So as every proper NW girl does, I have an advanced degree in layering. 🙂
The theme for my attire right now is ankle boots and jeans.
Can’t. Get. Enough.
And then Saturday rolled around, which was my official public soccer mom debut. Go Grey Rhino’s!
It also happened to be Husky Saturday, so naturally we supported the Grey Rhino’s in our hearts, but rocked our Husky gear to Brecken’s soccer game! #okayestmomever
And yes, I did wear my new Nickel & Suede earrings nearly every day this week.
As always, you’ll notice that I buy most everything at off-price retailers because I firmly believe that you don’t have to spend a million dollars to look put together and on-trend!
I’d love to meet you over on Instagram where I hang out with more candid pics of what we’re wearing (the kids) and doing everyday!
Oh, and as always too, I like to keep it real around here. So I wanted to leave you with a picture from the cutting room floor. Someone wise once told me all that matters is that what is within the frame looks good. So my motto: throw all the rest of the crap outside the frame. But I just wanted you to rest assured that we really do live here. 🙂
