Neutrals are nothing new around these parts. So when I was thinking of how to shower my sister with lots of baby love, I knew that an all white theme was perfect for January and my new niece to be!
First, I started with this invite via Etsy. Turned out super cute. And my go-to invite option is always to just print a box of 25 at Costco.
After invites, came all the party decor. Basic whites, with hints of silver and tiny slivers of pale pink were the only elements I added. Using an all-white theme allows me to use, and re-use the same things over and over with each event we host.
Someone probably needs to have a white intervention with me. But I literally CAN.NOT. STOP.
It just feels SO fresh and clean to me. And call it a Seattle-vitamin-D-deficiency, but having all white changes my mood and brings about happiness as soon as that yellow ball of fire shines through (which is once for 5 minutes every 3 days).
We’ll call it a cure for your Winter blues.
Insert Winter Whites.
I was so grateful to delegate food to my mom (she made delicious brunch type foods like breakfast enchiladas and fruit salad). And then we tasked our favorite cookie and cake makers to add some personalized sweets to the ensemble.
These cookies double as cute party gifts as well.
I will admit that my fingers were about to fall off after the bajillion paper snowflakes that we cut to tape to the windows and mantle. But cheap and festive decor, that now will stay up until March equals a win in my book. (Also, use this template from Pinterest – amaze balls snowflakes).
So that was it. Simply white to wash away our winter blues. And celebrate my new little niece Lucy.
