We just got back from a great stay in our home away from home, Arizona. I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to have 78 degree sun hitting your cheeks in the middle of February.
All the sunshine though got me super excited to do away with the heavy sweaters and migrate toward more of the springy-stuff in my closet, so I thought I’d share a few trends, that will hopefully inspire you as you transition from winter to spring (mind you, we had SNOW today, so there’s that).
Distressed Black Denim
Just because it’s not dark and dreary outside, doesn’t mean you have to throw your favorite holey black jeans by wayside. A comfy white tee-shirt, a statement necklace and some nude colored booties, and you’re right on trend.
Give me all the camo stat!
This is something that has been on trend for awhile, and I don’t see it going anywhere. Especially now with Pantone naming Green as their color of the year!

It can be a hat, a tee shirt (try this basic one from Target), or a lightweight coat – either way, camo is here to stay.
Off the Shoulder
This is a cute way to spice up a girl’s night out or date night. Shoulders have become the new legs. This is basically an updated Kelly Kapowski look, and Lord knows we all wanted to be her. Here’s your chance.
What gal doesn’t need a cute new pair of shoes to motivate you when tackling all of those errands. I’ve been eying these cute ones from J.Crew for about a year now, and am pulling the trigger for Spring.

Converse are always a good idea. Especially while wrangling littles.
Matte Black Nails
That’s right, you heard it here first folks: matte black. In the spring.
Nothing says ‘I mean business’ like matte black nails. Which, at least in my household, I need every bit of BA mom-help I can get, when it comes to wrangling the monkeys.
